About
My name is Katie Napier, and I'm a freshman at The Ohio State University. I am studying biology with a specialization in forensic biology, and a minor in music. I have a passion for science and medicine, and hope to combine those interests into a career path I love. Before coming to Ohio State, I started a hammock club. This organization is focused on bringing together a diverse group of students who share a common interest. The group is centered around community service and inclusion. Since arriving at Ohio State, I have gotten involved with: R-Lead, OWL, Raney Activities and Programming, and RHAC. R-Lead is a program centered around developing leadership skills. OWL is a program for being an advocate for other students and helping them move in. I am the sustainability chair of Raney Activities and Programming. I am in charge of planning events for my dorm and ensuring sustainable practices while doing so. RHAC is a program that coordinates events between dorms, and also is the organization where the funds are received for programs within the dorms.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Although I am not decided on a job path, I hope to work in a science field that also includes medicine. I also have an interest in forensic fields, which is why I am in a forensic biology specialization,
- Graduate school interests
After completing my undergraduate degree at Ohio State, I hope to pursue a graduate degree at Ohio State, or apply for dental school at Ohio State.
- Outside the classroom
In my free time, I enjoy playing music. I have learned six instruments, and love to participate in the bands on campus. I hope to audition for the marching band next year. I also enjoy volunteering in my free time, and plan to go on a Buck-I-Serv mission trip this May.
