About
I am currently working to complete my undergrad as a Studio Art Major at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. I have always been very passionate about painting and find it therapeutic in my life. I would love to influence others in a sense that there are no limits when it comes to making good art. I am involved in Delta Zeta Soroity as an active member at Tarleton in the Xi Nu chapter and plan to continue with my membership throughout my years at Tarleton. I am also a member of the Freshman Representative Council at Tarleton as a branch of the Student Government Association. I am also a member of a mentor group called BOLD with a concentration of mentoring first generation college students and minorities. I love staying active on my campus and gaining relationships and connections with hosted events that I work and volunteer.
Honors and awards
-
Presidential Fitness Award
I was enrolled in JROTC my freshman year of high school in the Plano Senior High Wildcat Battalion. I was awarded the highest of awards (Presidential Fitness awards and combination fitness meets and leadership awards) and ended the year highest ranking.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan to pursue Studio Arts with hopes of having my pieces displayed in several galleries. Along with my paintings, I would like to pursue a Cosmetology certification and transpose my art to people. I would like to be a makeup artist and hair dresser for actors and actresses for intricate movie sets.
- Graduate school interests
After I complete my undergrad, I would love to attend grad school in Austin at the University of Texas pursuing Fine Arts with a concentration in Studio Art while attending a Cosmetology institute to receive my certification.
- Outside the classroom
I love to paint in my free time when I am not working on school pieces in my art studio at home. I also love to play inter mural sand volleyball, and soccer. I've played Lacrosse for 6 years and continue to find new reasons why I love the sport. In the future, i would like to coach a girls High school Lacrosse team and mentor girls while sharing my love for the sport at the same time.
