About
I love the study of human behavior as well as neuropsychology. I have read and researched this field, and everything that it relates to, since I was in my early teens. I am currently studying more about philosophy and it's connections to the psychology field. I want to excel in the field of psychology and go as far as I can to reach my goals. I'm a go-getter who strives to be the very best at what I do. I don't take anything I put my time into lightly, and I can be a bit of an overachiever. I have a lot of experience in my personal life regarding psychology, mental illness, addiction, and trauma. I strive to be a success story and will not let these past events set me back. I want to rise above where I came from and use these negative experiences as a positive trait to help propel my career and my progression as a person. I believe this will be an asset that will take me far in this field and in life in general. First hand experience is what I value the most because it's something that cannot be taught, but something that gives me empathy to people who suffer. I've had people tell me that I can't succeed, which only gives me extra motivation. I truly want to be able to keep growing, not forgetting my past, but focusing on the present and my future. I'm a strong, independent woman that has had to advocate for myself and stand alone a great portion of my life. Not only have I had to learn independence, but have also had to learn the lesson of understanding humility. I've gained enough knowledge to know that I don't know everything and I should always remain teachable.
