About

As a first-generation student who was diagnosed with a learning disability, I've had to overcome adversity that would stop other students. When I moved over from England to America at a young age, I didn't fit in well with the school systems. I constantly felt like an outcast and that my disability was seen as something negative. I learned to make my learning disorder into something positive, I've decided to dedicate my career to saving our ecosystem and Marine life. I began this passion when I became scuba certified at the age of 14 since then I've traveled all over the world scuba diving reefs and experiencing new cultures. As well as scuba diving I've found a great passion for martial arts. I started karate when I was in middle school and achieved the honor of gaining my black belt at the age of 18. I'm planning to put this motivation in saving our ecosystems.

Goals and interests

Career goal

As someone as myself who is dedicated to saving our ecosystems and marine life, I've dedicated my life to becoming a marine biologist. I wanted to fulfill my job by knowing I was doing good for our planet and making a difference whenever I could. I would love to travel the world and collect research in order to preserve our oceans.

Graduate school interests

I'm currently a freshman at north Idaho college, I plan to attend Western Washington University to gain my masters. I hope to specialize in marine conservation and rehabilitation. I would be honored to become a travel abroad student so I could really grasp my knowledge on other countries' marine systems and know that i'm doing my part to save marine life.

Outside the classroom

I have a huge passion for nature. I love anything and everything outdoors. My main hobbies are motocross, karate, and scuba diving. I love experiencing new cultures so I travel whenever I can. I've been privileged enough to scuba dive all over the world such as Asia and Europe! Since I have a huge passion for karate I was lucky enough to practice martial arts in Vietnam. I'm hoping to gain new experience and cultures traveling the world helping conserve our ecosystems.
