About
I am currently a student at Leeward Community College about to complete my first year. I am studying sociology here in Hawai'i. I chose Sociology because I find it very interesting and few of my family members went to college for the same thing. I am also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I am a very hard working and determined student who's goal is to finish college with a masters degree and get into a career to provide not only for myself but to give back to my family who supported me along my education journey.

I got 2nd place for my school's Voice of Democracy in my senior year. I received money, a certificate and also a medal.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
It is my first year of college so I am still deciding on a job path that fits well for me but I am aiming towards social work. By this means I am able to help people, families and communities.
- Graduate school interests
After getting a bachelors degree I plan to continue my education and earn a masters degree.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies consist of photography, poetry and listening to music. I've been doing photography for about 3-4 years now and for me it's a way for me to express my creativity side. Some say I have a good eye for good pictures. My second hobby is poetry, this allows me to express my thoughts and feelings which lets me connect to others. I think of it as if I'm writing a song, I can easily match words and be very descriptive in such a few short lines. My last hobby which is listening to music. I listen to music every single day and music has inspired me to be more expressive and it's one of the reasons I write poetry.
