About
My name is Destiny Dawn Vann. I am 17 years old and in my Junior year of High school. I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma called Muldrow. For most of my life, I attended Liberty Public school, but during 8th grade, I began struggling with GAD, which led to depression and switching to homeschooling. Instead of attending a public high school, I began attending a homeschooling website that I learned was unaccredited two years into doing it. After learning the school was unaccredited, I joined Epic Charter School in February 2020. Upon joining Epic Charter School, I learned I would need to begin credit recovery in hopes of graduating on time. In my first semester with Epic Charter School, I was able to earn all the credits required to finish 9th grade. By November, I was able to earn enough credits to graduate from 10th grade and move onto 11th grade. I have quite a bit of credit to go, but I’m very hopeful I will be able to graduate in May 2021 by receiving all of my credits required in one and a half years.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
BS Criminal Justice from NSU Tahlequah, OK.
- Graduate school interests
Pursue my MS in Criminal Justice at NSU through NSU's accelerated master's program while concurrently working to earn my BS in Criminal Justice.
- Outside the classroom
I have always had an interest in arts such as painting, drawing, and clay modeling. While attending Liberty Public School, I entered a drawing competition to have my art featured in the Oklahoma phonebook and won. I haven't ever entered any other art competition, but I spend most of my free time doing painting and working with clay. One day I would like to pursue selling art part-time and advance my art skills using profits from the paintings and clay models.
