About
I’ve been rapping all my life. I finally decided to put my album together to show the world what I have to offer, and who I really am. Back in the day, before I had my son, music production and rapping was all I did. I had a group of talented Artists that would come to my home studio(Grandmas House) and record. I had companies that sponsored me and everything. I was on my way to regional fame here in san diego, california(born and raised). To be completely honest it wasn’t really paying the bills. Being a single father at the young age of 23, I had to do what I had to do to provide for my son, since his mother had left the picture when he was around 3 years old. I was all he had. It was either be a dead beat father, running the streets chasing my dreams, or man up an take care of my responsibilities. when I was younger I didn’t really have a father figure in my life. Just a bunch of old men that would come and go. as a single mother of 4, my mom did what she had to do in-order to survive so I know how that feels. I’d be damned if I was going to let my son follow in the same foot steps as I did, So I let go of all my dreams of becoming a famous rapper/producer and started working in tech Support. i eventually Moved out got my own place and started raising my son by myself. it wasn’t easy but we still here doing it til this day. only thing is he’s 9 years old now so i get a lil more free time to get back on track following my dreams and working on my long overdue Album. don’t get it twisted though-as soon as my son went to sleep you could find me writin rhymes late at night bumpin beats in my headphones. my iphone notepad was a getaway. Now, as the future presents prospective opportunities, I’m currently enrolled in a prestigious college trying to obtain my BA in Music Production, and Business Management amongst other things. It’s the LA Recording School division of the LA Film School in Hollywood. The love and passion I have for music never faded. Even when I had to sell my whole studio to provide a roof over my son’s head I still found myself writing songs to beats that gave me inspiration. The ultimate goal is to spread my sound to the world. I ended up going down the IT path for a while and realized fixing people’s technical issues wasn’t really what I wanted to do. There was always that hunger in me to make music. One of my worst critics is myself, doubting my ability as an artist, even though people say my songs are really good. I’ve decided not to let the self-doubt cloud my abilities and motivation. It’s now or never. For the past year, I have fully immersed myself in my passion again. That passion being Music. I can’t give up looking towards my future career in the music industry. I won’t let myself slip back into mediocrity. So I hope yall are ready to embark on this new journey with me as I continue to have the grit to keep dropping my best tracks yet. I must say-this is long overdue. You can find me on nearly all social media sites under storytella100 cause yall know 100 is how I gotta keep it.
