About
I am a southern girl raised in western NC that loves Jesus, chocolate, & sweet tea (all staples in the south). I have a couple degrees but I am finally pursuing what I really love...helping others improve their quality of life through therapy. I am in school to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant and then plan to continue on for my OT Master's degree. I love working with kids and currently work in a pediatric clinic that sees a variety of physical and mental disorders. I also want to continue doing mission work overseas once I have my license. Seeing the growth and progression of patients is one of the things that make my heart happy. My passions include baking (more chocolate!), working with kids, & worship ministry. I have been blessed in having the opportunity to combine the last two by leading the kids worship ministry at my church. I love seeing kids grow and blossom by using their God-given gifts even at such a young age. Being a small part of other people's journey is something I long to do for the rest of my life and I will continue to pursue that to the best of my ability at home, church, and working as an OT one day.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I currently work as a physical therapy technician in a physical, occupational, and speech therapy clinic and am blessed to have the option of continuing to work there after I receive my occupational therapy assistant license. We work with a variety of patients in PT, but OT and Speech work mainly with pediatrics. After working in the pediatric clinic for a year I plan to apply to Cabarrus College of Health Sciences for admittance into their OTA to OT bridge program. Once completed I would like to work as an OT, hopefully in the same clinic, with pediatric patients in my hometown.
