About
I am a student at the University of Cincinnati where I am pursuing my Master of Science degree in Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in which I have 2 remaining semesters before completion. I would love to specialize in the field of cardiology but remain open to other areas of practice. I currently work in the cardiovascular ICU at a trauma center. While I enjoy working in this setting, I am pursuing training in the field of primary care because I would like to do more in health promotion and preventative medicine. In doing so I hope to significantly reduce the number of hospital admissions in the communities I serve thus improving the overall outcome of my patients. My goal in nursing is to do my PhD in order to take part in research that will enhance the profession of nursing on a national and international level.

- Career goal
I am currently studying to become an adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner and would really love to specialize in the field of cardiology. I would also love to be a part of educating future advanced practice nurses.
- Graduate school interests
I am currently pursuing my M.Sc in adult gerontology primary care nurse practioner at the University of Cincinnati. After completion and 1 year of experience in the field, I will apply to do my PhD in nursing and also sit the the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoying singing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
