Savannah Ziglar

My name is Savannah Ziglar. I am a graduate student currently pursuing my master's degree in nursing at the University of West Florida. Growing up, I was a missionary kid in multiple different countries and developed a love for different cultures and people groups. I especially developed a passion for providing medical care and sharing the gospel with people in third world countries and decided that I would pursue a career that would take me back to these places later on. Now, I will graduate in December of 2021 with my family nurse practitioner. I also received my bachelor's in nursing at UWF and am a Registered Nurse in Florida. While pursuing my bachelor's, I had the pleasure of serving as the President and Vice President of the Student Nurses Association. During nursing school, I had the opportunity to work with the amazing nursing school staff at UWF and chose to return to the school for my master's degree. While pursing my MSN, I have been working as a nurse in Neurology/Neurosurgery MedSurg in Pensacola, FL. This unit was an innovation unit for the organization and I was a member of the communication team. My hope is to practice as a family nurse practitioner after obtaining my degree and work in a variety of primary care/acute care settings before opening my own practice. I would like to open my own practice overseas in order to serve rural communities with minimal healthcare access would ultimately like to treat and provide healthcare education to these populations.
