About
I am a history major at Liberty University. I am excited to continue to grow in my knowledge of history and to help others become passionate about history along the way. I have always had an enthusiasm for studying history, a passion I shared with my father as we often discussed history together. When my father passed away suddenly, I decided to visit some of the historical places he always wanted to see to honor his memory. One of the historical sites I visited was Rome, and another was an ancient city in Italy called Teramo, where my father's grandparents were born. Those experiences served to further my passion for history, and I would love the opportunity to study abroad in Rome and become involved in archeology. I currently work full-time as a hairstylist while going to school full-time.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan to become a history professor while also gaining experience in archeology. I believe history plays a crucial role in society by allowing civilizations to learn from past mistakes, ensuring future generations do not repeat the same mistakes as their forebears. I desire to utilize my future position as a professor to make the world a better place by helping to educate the leaders of tomorrow.
- Graduate school interests
After graduation, I plan to further my education at the University of Pavia in Italy by entering a master's program in Mediterranean history and archaeology.
- Outside the classroom
I love to travel, I am passionate about photography, and a local television station featured one of my photography exhibits in their program. I love going paddle boarding, kayaking, and hiking. I come from a musical family and enjoy playing piano, cello, and singing, and I also enjoy reading books.

I volunteered for a week for eleven summers in a row at a camp for Native American children. I served as a camp counselor and an activity leader for ten years and assisted the kitchen staff the other year. Not only was the role unpaid, but each staff member would pay for themselves and one of the children attending the camp so that the children could attend the camp without any financial burden on their families.
