About
Hi! I'm Jacob Mercado. I'm a high school graduate looking to pursue my future in civil engineering. Math is my favorite subject and the one I'm the best at learning. I used to be scared of failing in general so I never tried my hardest in school or I didn't try at all, until recently. I've learned that the best thing failure does for you is help you learn which means I shouldn't be afraid of it. I'm as ambitious as ever now to try new things and embrace as many challenges as I can!

Goals and interests

I intend to go to Cuesta College, a local community college, to earn my A.S. Engineering degree and then transfer to Cal Poly to pursue Civil Engineering. During school, I will get an internship at a local engineering business. After I finish school, I will apply for a job at the company I choose to work at to be a civil engineer.
- Outside the classroom
Music is a major passion of mine and I've played the drums, guitar, keyboard, and cello for many years. I've been kickboxing for about 2 years now, my trainer is the ex-wife of Chuck Liddell. I've been drawing since elementary school and it's always been a time consuming activity.
