About
Hello!
I am Biomedical Engineering student at Stevenson University in Owings Mills, MD. The reason why I am studying and exploring Biomedical Engineering is because I find it very intriguing and almost very exciting how problems or worldly situations are put together and the process of finding an answer. I’m interested in becoming a Biomedical Engineer and continuing my studies in medical school to become a cardiologist. When my mother died, it broke my heart and I vowed to find a way to heal broken hearts. I want to either create new hearts or heal old hearts. I began taking engineering and STEAM Programs throughout my high school career. In the beginning, they were very difficult for me because it stretched me into various topics that were being taught. Towards the end, those classes helped me navigate, understand, and grow a greater understanding of how to branch out different concepts of science, math, and technology and combine those together with advanced technology. I believe becoming a Biomedical Engineer fits me as a profession to forward my studies in because I have the compassion for others who have lost loved ones, I have experienced inside and out of the classroom with this subject which I have grown to have a broader understanding, and the motivation to strive and discover new ways and solutions to solve the problem and potentially save someone's life. It is my assignment for life to accomplish this and make the world a better place. I am committed to my calling which is to heal hearts.
