About

Hello,

My name is Maurie Ann. I have called myself multi-directional--I seem to be doing many tasks and following more than one path all at the same time! I decided to make my life mean something and help others in crises. So, I started back to school in 2006 to head down the road to success. I found that school was just what I needed--I love to learn new things. So, I stretched community college out and took many extra classes. I don't regret it even though it has put a crunch on my financial means. I have learned so much and have a desire to learn more! I have almost earned my bachelors degree in General Studies, and hope to attend the Masters of Counseling program. During my educational path, I have worked in Security to maintain my home life and Volunteered for Animal Rescue organizations to help homeless pets in need. Recently, I have begun to work with families to help them by directing them to organizations that can address their needs. Also, I assist seniors with everyday needs. I have a very full and wonderful life, and it is my dream to one day build a retirement community so that those who gave their lives to our community can get back from that community--respect, safety, enjoyment, and everything they need to feel the same way. "We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we are curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths" (Walt Disney).
