About

Naresh completed his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, India, in 2019. He is a recipient of state-level 2nd Rank among more than 70 pharmacy colleges in the examination conducted by RGUHS. His excellent knowledge of pharmacotherapeutics led him to perform several life-saving therapeutic interventions. His interest in developing novel therapeutics for cancers led him to join the Ph.D. program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. During his tenure as a Graduate Student, he led a research project on engineering a next-generation oncolytic herpes simplex virus to selectively target Glioblastoma Stem Cells. Naresh subsequently joined Dr. Palle Lab to focus on identifying the genetic and molecular underpinnings responsible for driving aggressive ovarian tumor growth and developing precision therapeutics for recalcitrant cancers. His research also emphasizes crosstalk between altered oncogenic signals with tumor suppressors in regulating cell cycle and DNA repair, and their contribution to therapeutic resistance. So far, Naresh has delivered more than 12 guest lectures and done more than 20 paper presentations at national and international conferences. He has received awards from several prestigious organizations like The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, American Cancer Society, American College of Surgeons, American Association of Cancer Research, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and National Institutes of Health. Currently, he leads multiple student organizations. He is also an Expert for Avenida innovation and a Mentor abroad for the Pharmacon Society of Pharmacy Practice in pursuit of better health solutions and education. As a hobby, Naresh loves playing cricket, chess, and cooking.
