Sarena Mahmoodi

To join a community and be an active and effective member or part of it, a person must
have the purpose, motivation, and goals that they want to achieve by participating in different
activities and use many opportunities that might be available. By joining the National Honor Society, I can develop and strengthen my soft skills, gain experience, and learn more. I’m confident to claim that I, as a student with English as my second language, had improved my academic performance and social skills
throughout these three years of living in the United States.
This year is my last year of high school, and I want to participate in this academic organization that provides great opportunities such as experiencing interaction, development, and learning because I wasn’t emotionally ready to do so in the previous years. However, nobody would know the value of accomplishment if they’ve never faced obstacles in their pathway to success.
