About

When people are asked what they want for their life, most name many materialistic things. However, my answer was always to be happy, and my family is my happiness. Every now and then I take time to evaluate how my life choices reflect the path I want to take in the future. This is hard most times because the answer is constantly changing to an extent. That being said, there is something that has never changed: my life's biggest goal is to excel in being a mother. Ever since I was younger I have always been a family-oriented person. I enjoy the diversity that each family has to offer, not just in ethnicity but their traditions as well, and I can't wait to develop my own traditions with the family that I create.
Many of my peers turn up their noses when I talk about my large family goals because they could never imagine it for themselves. In the modern society that we live in, the concept of love has greatly shifted and a lot of unhealthy things have become acceptable. I believe that the correct concept of love for families are bonds characterized by deep affection, respect, loyalty, and healthy attachment in your heart. I want to change that narrative one step at a time, starting with my family. I want a different type of love for my family, a healthy, understanding love. I want to add a lot of kind-hearted change-makers to society. I want to listen to my children in a way that many children aren't listened to, and show them that love is a reflection of our values.
Not only do I want to fulfill my kids' needs emotionally, but I want to be stable for them financially as well. While college may be preparing some people to be a doctor or an engineer, college is preparing me to be a mother. Everything that I do in life from now and even years before this is for my unborn children. I plan to study Business Management in college, to learn the ins and outs of entrepreneurship and granting me the ability to have my own home-run business while being a stay-at-home mom. In today's society, many women would love to have the luxury of being a stable unemployed stay-at-home mom. Still, I would much rather be a strong working influence in my children's lives while being a very involved stay-at-home mom. I want to be able to meal prep, involve them in multiple extracurriculars, and give them as much undivided attention as possible. I want to study psychology and sociology so I will be able to better understand the gears that turn in my children's heads. Before I have children, I want to make sure that I am as educated as possible so that I won't impact them with my psychological problems.
Not only will the classes I take in college help me, but so will the general experiences. I will be better equipped to live alone, as well as pick up a number of organizational and problem-solving skills. This will allow me to provide for my children effectively and stay organized so that I can lead by example. Some people think that I am boiling down my life's potential to this one section of my life, but to me even though my children aren't here with me yet, they already mean so much to me. College is an important milestone in my road to becoming an amazing mother and making my children second-generation college students. I want to pave the way for them to be whatever they want to be, and hopefully make it much easier for them.
