About

I am Joanne Ku. I am in my second year in my Master of Clinical Psychology program. I am starting my clinical next semester at Texas A&M University's Community Psychology Clinic in Commerce. I am getting trained to become a licensed psychology associate. My future aspiration is delivering affordable and accessible mental health services to multicultural and underserved populations, within and beyond the U.S. I would like to specialize in depression and anxiety as they are very common. To fulfill my passion in treating underserved populations worldwide, the education and professional training that I am receiving at Texas A&M University are essential. This program is guiding me to develop an in-depth understanding of psychopathology, equipping me with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to conduct psychological assessments and advanced therapeutic treatments to heal adults, adolescents, children, and families. I would like to apply what I have learned in my current study into my future clinical practice to effectively treat clients with mental disorders.
