Hello, my name is Shanna Sirovina. I have currently attending Valdosta State University as a criminal justice major. I take pride in my school work and try to push myself to be the best I can be. I volunteer at the local Air Force base. I am a sponsor wife that helps incoming and outgoing families get the best help and connect them with resources for the transition. I have been on the presidents list for 4 semesters now.

Goals and interests

Career goal: I intend on graduating and joining the Air Force as an officer. My overall goal is to be a dentist in the military and serve my country and people.
Graduate school interests: I do not plan on going to graduate school until I enter into the military. At that time, my dream grad school would be University of Florida.
Outside the classroom: Some of the things that I do on my free time is being a mom to my 2 little girls. We enjoy playing in the snow, crafting, and cooking all the delicious food that reminds us of home.

I worked as a dental hygienist for 4 years in a private practice in Valdosta, Ga.

Volunteering

I am a sponsor wife for my husbands squadron on the local Air Force base. I help incoming and outgoing families get the resources they need to make the move as smooth as possible. I am also a voice advocate for all the wives in the squadron. With this role, I ensure that if a wife needs help, rides to a doctors appointment, if the wife does not feel safe, if the wife is having health issues, I help get them the help they need. I open my house up to these military families for meals and help any way that they may need it.
