Denise Nichols

I grew up on a small beef cattle operation in Central Illinois and moved to a small rural community in West Texas. I plan to go on to become a large animal vet, focusing on equine sports medicine and beef cattle. This has been my passion since I was a little girl. I hope to attend Texas Tech Vet School to further pursue these goals and aspirations and fulfill a little girls dream. Growing up I was involved in my local 4-H for several years with an animal showmanship background in small animals. Since attending WT I have been involved in a number of organizations, including the Pre-vet Club, Horseman's Association, Block and Bridle, and Baptist Student Ministries. All have taught me very good life lessons that I can apply in daily life and hopefully in my future practice.
