Soraya Reichman

Hi there! My name is Soraya Reichmann Alegria, and I'm delighted to share a bit about myself with you. Currently, I am pursuing my studies in Visual Communications at Ivy Tech, where I am immersing myself in the fascinating world of design and creativity.

I am originally from Honduras, and I have always been captivated by the power of art to communicate and evoke emotions. Before embarking on my educational journey at Ivy Tech, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a high school and middle school art teacher at an international school in Honduras. This experience enriched my understanding of art as a universal language and allowed me to witness firsthand the transformative impact it can have on students' lives.

My time as an educator sparked a passion for visual storytelling and ignited my desire to explore the field of Visual Communications. This program teaches me how to effectively blend art, design, and technology to create captivating and meaningful visual experiences. I am particularly drawn to the intersection of design and human psychology, as I believe in the power of design to shape perception, influence behavior, and spark positive change.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I am continuously seeking opportunities to expand my creative horizons. I actively engage in personal projects that allow me to experiment with different mediums, techniques, and styles. From sketching and painting to digital illustration and photography, I find joy in the exploration of diverse artistic expressions.

As a proud Hispanic, I cherish my cultural heritage and draw inspiration from the rich artistic traditions of my homeland. I strive to infuse my work with elements that reflect the beauty and vibrancy of Latin American art and culture.
When I'm not immersed in the world of design and art, you can find me exploring nature, seeking inspiration in museums and galleries, or sipping a cup of coffee while getting lost in a good book. I believe that every experience, big or small, has the potential to inspire and shape our creative journey.

I am excited to be on this path of artistic discovery and growth, and I look forward to connecting with fellow creatives, collaborating on exciting projects, and making a positive impact through the visual stories I create.
