Hello! I’m Joel Carnero. I am an undergrad (freshman) at the University of Texas at Tyler. I am majoring in Music Education; I’m indecisive on whether I want to do a double major for music. My main instrument is alto saxophone, but I have played other concert band instruments (some of which include the French horn, trombone, euphonium, clarinet, and piano).

This award is only given to the most outstanding high school senior jazz players across the nation! These young individuals must express the highest levels of dedication, loyalty, character, and discipline to their jazz bands!
