Goals and interests
- Career goal
My possible future career goal and college majors are that I would like to go for a master's and bachelor's in college for business administration and eventually use that towards a non-profit program that could help other youth and teenage girls going through self-image issues in economically disadvantaged areas. This is a topic I'm very passionate about because growing up in our society, especially since after COVID-19, the world has changed and I feel it's important to use my voice and resources to give others a sense of safety, comfort, and reassurance they might not find in their life. To help me pursue this I have applied myself extensively through community service of such nature. Being able to be exposed to the diversity of so many kids with fewer opportunities around the world helped culturally enrich me in how I can influence the children around me. I bought that knowledge to then allow me to want to give a better environment in the communities I served including making over and retouching the playgrounds of children in NYC public parks in lower-income neighborhoods, teaching boys and girls of several ages how to dance, and giving them a safe space to express themselves, and volunteering in a summer camp where children in underprivileged areas had a place to be free outside of school and just be a kid. I enjoy the experiences because aside from grounding me and allowing me to see how much I have to appreciate, it also fulfills me to be able to know that there are so many young lives I would have liked to impact that I wish I had when I was their age. These are multiple ways that even the smallest gestures or conversations through community service can stick with a child and either help them find a passion or even give them a friendship to idolize moving forward throughout life, and that more than anything means the world to me.
