Hello!
My name is Katie Buckley and I have been a member of the Honor Society since 2013. I recently graduated from Syracuse University with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts. This degree completion was both a challenge and unconventional. It took 10 years total to complete this degree. However, through dedication and hard work I finally made this acheivement possible all while working full time jobs, advancing my career, and taking care of my family.
Now, I begin my new journey! I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University in Human Development and Family Sciences. I have a drive and passion to create enviornments full of empathy, understanding, and validation through helping others.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intened field is work as a Child Life Specialist. I am also currently writing and illustrating a children's mental health book intended to be used as a tool to assist victims of abuse. This is my passion project that I hope will inspire others to reach for their dreams.
- Graduate school interests
I have hopes to someday pursue a Graduate Degree in Social Work to assist children and families through traumatic events.
- Outside the classroom
I love to write, paint, and play orchestral music.
