My name is Kira Burch. I am currently a student at Mt. San Jacinto college and I plan on transferring to a 4-year university in Fall 2024. I want to transfer to CSU Channel Islands to pursue a bachelor's in Environmental Science with an emphasis on marine and coastal systems.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I would like to become an environmental scientist and work in a marine science lab to combat climate change using marine technologies.
- Graduate school interests
The highest degree I am aiming for is a Master's. I want to transfer to a 4-year university before I make a decision on what field of study I want to pursue it in.
- Outside the classroom
I love dancing, drawing, and reading. I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and I never stopped. Dance has taught me so much about my body and work ethic. I have always been an artistic individual and so drawing was one of the hobbies that you just get in to. I'm not the best but I love it nevertheless. Reading has been a staple of my home since before I can remember. If you were bored you picked up a new book and read it cover to cover.
