Quentin Brien

When I first joined the cyber defense program in the fall of 2021, I had no prior IT or related field experience. However, the program's hands-on approach equipped me with the skills to achieve multiple globally recognized cyber and IT-related certifications. These include CompTIA's A+ and Security+ certifications. Additionally, I have earned several notable certifications from TestOut, a respected IT certification organization recently acquired by CompTIA. These certifications include TestOut Server Pro, Linux Pro, Ethical Hacker Pro, Security Pro, PC Pro, and Network Pro.

Numerous honors have distinguished my academic performance at TMCC. I have been named to the President's List five times and the Dean's List once. Moreover, my success in the IT and cyber fields has earned me several STEM-related scholarships, including the Greer Scholarship, AISES, ANAMP, and NASA scholarships.

My passion for cybersecurity is driven by a personal experience with cybercrime, which ignited my desire to combat this growing threat. I am committed to continuing my education and honing my skills to grow personally and to help protect others from cyber threats.
