Madison Whitaker

Nonprofit Program Director at I worked as a Program Director with Austin nonprofit, Girls Rock Austin, where we focused our work in empowering girls, trans and gender-expansive youth through music, mentorship, and self-care. Campers were guided through hands-on experience in learning instruments, forming bands, and writing songs. We also had workshops that centered around social issues, effective communication, and overall taking care of themselves emotionally, mentally and physically. I started volunteering with this organization in 2021, and earned my leadership role in 2020.
