About

Neema is a graduate student and social entrepreneur with a passion for mental health and education. She co-founded a groundbreaking nonprofit in Tanzania, Tap Elderly Women's Wisdom for Youth (TEWWY), that addresses intergenerational and mental health treatment gaps. TEWWY trains retired elderly women to implement community and evidence-based mental health and psychosocial interventions, and partners with schools to integrate mental and behavioral health programs, enhancing mental health literacy among educators and students. Fluent in English and Swahili, Neema brings her expertise to FundEd Strategies, a consulting firm helping charter schools and education nonprofits in the US develop sustainable fundraising programs. She volunteers at the charter schools every opportunity she gets. In September 2024, Honor Society invited Neema to become a member, recognizing her outstanding academic achievements.
