Goals and interests

Career goal

Public Health Practitioner and Researcher

Graduate school interests

My research interests focus on maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health with
an emphasis on the youth, and health systems improvement. I am particularly keen on finding
sustainable solutions to address the disparities in maternal and child health services in
resource-limited settings. I would also like to develop evidence-based strategies to address
sexual and reproductive health issues such as sexually transmitted infections, unintended
pregnancy, unsafe abortion, poor menstrual hygiene, gender-based violence, and barriers to
accessing sexual and reproductive health services. Additionally, I aim to examine how to
create well-functioning, resilient, and value-based health systems that efficiently deliver high quality care, adapt to unexpected public health crises, and prioritize equity to improve overall
health outcomes.
