My journey toward pursuing a degree in Marketing has been shaped by a combination of personal growth, professional experience, and a deep passion for creative storytelling and connection. These experiences have prepared me to excel in a rigorous academic environment and contribute meaningfully to the universty where I decide to continue my education.
Currently, I work as a special education teacher's assistant and as the site director for an after-school care program. In these roles, I have honed my ability to lead, adapt, and communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. Balancing these responsibilities while maintaining full-time enrollment in college has taught me the value of time management, discipline, and perseverance—skills that are essential for success in both academics and marketing.
My passion for social media and sports marketing stems from my love for sports, creativity, and connecting with others. I am fascinated by the ways marketing strategies can amplify fan engagement and build strong brand identities. In my spare time, I have explored social media trends, learned about analytics tools, and studied how successful campaigns resonate with audiences. These self-directed efforts have sparked my desire to deepen my expertise through formal education and real-world application.
A significant turning point in my academic journey occurred when I was diagnosed with ADD and ADHD in January 2024. This diagnosis helped me understand the challenges
I faced in school and empowered me to develop strategies to overcome them. Since then, I have worked diligently to maintain a 3.0 GPA while balancing my responsibilities. This experience has not only enhanced my resilience but also strengthened my ability to empathize with others—a quality that I believe will serve me well in marketing, where understanding diverse perspectives is key.
The combination of my professional experiences, academic determination, and personal growth positions me to thrive at the university where I decide to continue my academic journey.
