About

I am a dedicated Criminal Justice major and corrections officer in Michigan committed to ethical leadership, academic excellence, and community service. My professional experience working inside a correctional facility has strengthened my ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain accountability, and uphold integrity in high-pressure environments. These real-world responsibilities have deepened my understanding of discretion and the importance of ethical decision-making within the justice system.

I was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), where I continue to develop my leadership skills through goal setting, professional growth, and service-oriented engagement. My academic achievements and leadership involvement reflect my commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

My long-term goal is to pursue a career in probation or parole, where I can contribute to rehabilitation efforts while protecting public safety and strengthening the communities I serve.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to pursue a career in community corrections, specifically as a probation or parole officer. With my professional experience as a corrections officer in Michigan, I have developed a strong foundation in offender supervision, institutional safety, and ethical decision-making. My goal is to transition into a role that allows me to support rehabilitation and successful reentry while maintaining accountability and protecting public safety.

Long-term, I aspire to advance into leadership roles within community supervision, where I can contribute to policy improvement, evidence-based practices, and offender rehabilitation initiatives.

Graduate school interests

I am interested in pursuing graduate studies in Criminal Justice or Public Administration to further develop my knowledge of leadership, corrections policy, and evidence-based practices. Graduate education would strengthen my ability to make informed decisions, influence policy, and advance into supervisory or administrative roles within the criminal justice system.

Outside the classroom

Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, interior decorating, and planning special events and trips. I also enjoy reading and engaging in leadership development activities that support my personal and professional growth.
