About
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) human services professional with over two decades of experience in public safety, crisis intervention, and social services. My career has been defined by service, integrity, and a commitment to supporting individuals and families during some of their most challenging moments. Currently, I serve as a Correctional Social Worker with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, where I provide crisis intervention, facilitate rehabilitative programming, conduct assessments, and collaborate with community partners to address criminogenic needs and promote positive behavior change.
My professional background includes extensive experience in law enforcement, child welfare, family care management, crisis response systems, and community-based services. Having worked as a police officer, crisis intervention specialist, and family care manager, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective grounded in accountability, compassion, and evidence-informed practice. I am known for maintaining high ethical standards, excelling in high-pressure environments, and fostering collaborative relationships across systems.
Academically, I hold degrees in Criminal Justice and remain committed to lifelong learning, leadership, and service excellence. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Florida State University, where I continue to strengthen my clinical skills, ethical decision-making, and commitment to culturally responsive, evidence-informed practice. Membership in a national honor society reflects my dedication to scholarship, professional growth, and contributing meaningfully to my community and the field of human services.
