Jaimee Lee Cottrell

I am an Australian student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management at the University of Southern Mississippi. As a non-traditional student with more than 15 years of professional experience, I believe that learning is a lifelong journey and that it is never too late to invest in personal and professional growth.

Throughout my career, I have worked in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Project Coordination across a variety of industries, including mining, oil and gas, Indigenous government organizations, and community services. These experiences have given me a strong appreciation for the impact that effective leadership can have on individuals, teams, and organizations. I am passionate about good leadership and creating workplace cultures where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.

Maintaining a 4.0 GPA while returning to university as an international student has been both challenging and rewarding. My academic journey reflects my commitment to continuous improvement, resilience, and setting an example for my children that growth and education can happen at any stage of life.
