Camden Frost

I will be a 2027 graduate of Cartersville High School. I have been involved in Esports throughout high school and decided to join the swim team my senior year. I am a beta club member and currently in the top 100 of my class of almost 400. I have a passion for sharks and all things ocean and beach. My goals are to graduate with a marine biology degree and I would love to be involved in research projects involving sharks. I have been fortunate enough to free snorkel with sharks at Discovery Cove in FL & cage dive in the shark tank at the GA Aquarium.
I feel that I possess the perseverance to achieve my life goals because I have already faced one of the biggest battles of my life. Just after my 5th birthday, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I battled cancer for almost 3 years. I wasn't able to play sports, or go on vacations. I had multiple hospital stays, clinic visits and emergency ER visits as well. While I battled this horrible disease, my grandmother was also diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer shortly after my diagnosis . We battled this horrible disease together. I was one of the fortunate ones, I won the fight against cancer, my grandmother did not. I know that she would be so proud of how far I have come.
My mother is also my biggest supporter. She is a constant reminder that no matter what life throws at you, you have to keep going. She managed to take care of both me & my grandmother(her Mom) while still continuing her work as an ICU nurse. She has instilled in me a love for adventure, travel & to take advantage of every moment.
