The love of Books
I have always loved to read. I will read almost anything. It is sad that everyday people challenge books to get them banned. A lot of the banned or challenged books are classics. Some of the more common books to be challenged and/or banned are John Stienbeck`s `Of Mice and Men` and `The Grapes of Wrath`, Ray Bradbury`S Fahrenheit 451, and J.D. Salinger`s The catcher in teh Rye.
One of the most common international banned books is Adolph Hitler`s Mein Kampf. This book can be very useful to historians. As it was published before the rise of Hitler. It is also has his plans in it. It can help historians to understand how Hitler managed to rise in power.
Any book that is banned is sad for the community. As there is a lesson in every book. In America books are often challenged by parent`s who do not feel the content is appropriate for their children. Many books found offensive by some were written in a way that might not be completely politically correct in modern society but was correct at the time they were written. This just adds to the learning experience.
