Meet Angel! Education, Teaching and Tutoring Expert on her way to France in the fall to study for her MA in Global Communication at the American University of Paris

Apr 08,2015

Hello! My name is Angelic Noel Croxell, but you can call me Angel. I am excited to share my life’s story with you and take you with me as I continue my journey into the future. Along the way there will be detours, U-turns, back tracks, and flash forwards. I guarantee it is a ride you do not want to miss. I have only been on this planet for 31 short years but I have lived every moment to the fullest.

To give you an idea of where I began, I tested in the 98th percentile at the very early age of 5 years 7 months old way back in the summer of 1989. However, it was not until I passed the Mensa test in the spring of 2014 that this all came to light. All my life I felt like an outsider and wondered why I didn’t fit in. It all makes perfect sense now but the trip from Point A to Point B was definitely a roller coaster.

    Adventures to come this fall…

This fall you will be coming with me as I move to France for the second time in less than 5 years. Fall 2015 I will begin studying for my Master of Arts in Global Communication at the American University of Paris. I have my Bachelors of Arts in French (Language, Literature, History, Culture and Linguistics) as well as my Bachelors of Science in Applied Learning and Development/ Youth and Community Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. There are tentative plans to go to Oxford University for my MBA in 2016 when I am done in Paris, but I know from experience a lot can happen between now and then.

I will fill you in on the back story of my life as I pack for Paris…

My life is honestly so interesting and entertaining most days that I do not even need to watch television. While I prepare to leave for Paris in August I will tell you all about how I got to where I am now... my 14 year adventure in private school, my time at UT Austin, my 13 glorious years of teaching, tutoring and mentoring, my own successful tutoring company, my family, my students, my nonprofit and volunteer work, teaching for the French Ministry of Education in Normandy, working with President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper project in Houston, Texas, my ups and downs, my ins and outs, and so much more. I have always wanted to write my own auto-biography and what better way to start than by telling you about the interesting, fascinating, crazy, intelligent, delightful person I have become through trial and error, hit and miss, and multiple Hail Mary attempts at living my life with no regrets.

You are the first to hear these stories so I hope you enjoy them…

I rarely invite people into my life but this is an opportunity to share with you all I question, all I know, all I learn, and all I am. It has truly been an unbelievably amazing 31 years so far and I am just getting started!

More to come soon!

Angel :)
