About (Summary)

After 14 years at Greenhill School where I was an A student, in the National Honor Society, French National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll and AP classes, I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. I double majored in Education and French. I graduated in December of 2008 with my Bachelors of Science in Applied Learning and Development. I graduated with my Bachelors of Arts in French in December 2013. I am in Kappa Delta Pi, Pi Alpha Phi, and Alpha Phi Omega. I qualified for Mensa before I was 6 years old. School has always come easily to me. I have been a teacher/tutor/mentor for the past 13 years and I cannot imagine doing anything else with my life. I love my students and I love to teach!! I am going to the American University of Paris Fall 2015 to get my Masters in Global Communication. I love France, speak French fluently, and cannot wait to get back in the classroom as a student!

Grad School Interests

This fall, August 2015, I will be attending the American University of Paris to get my Masters of Arts in Global Communication. I speak English and French fluently which will help enormously in the Parisian setting. I am going out of the United States to get my Masters at an American accredited university so that I can have a more global impact when I graduate. I want to make the world a better place, make a lasting difference for this generation and generations to come. A Masters in Global Communication leaves the door wide open for a variety of internships and career paths when I graduate. I have been recruited by the Oxford Said Business School MBA program and will possibly be attending Oxford for the 2016-2017 school year. I have been in touch with the Associate Director of the MBA program and she is all too excited to help me with anything and everything as I prepare to come to Oxford.

Intended Job Path

I have been teaching/tutoring/mentoring for the past 13 years and I have taught every age from 6 month old baby sign language, to helping my students do well on the SAT or ACT, to helping my friends with their Masters Thesis papers. Being a native English speaker from Texas but also fluent in French I would like to be an Ambassador or maybe work for the United Nations. I have no real political aspirations, I simply want to make a difference in the world. I want to use my gifts and talents to make the world a better place for future generations. I love to teach and I think I will always be teaching or tutoring in some capacity but I would like to have a greater impact on a global scale. I think I have some really amazing ideas on how we can all get along better, find commonalities, enjoy each other's differences, and come together as a global community. I want to inspire the youth of tomorrow to get their educations, make something of themselves, and leave the world a better place than when they found it.

Hobbies

I love to read!! Reading Ancient French Literature from the 1500s-1800s is my passion. Rousseau, Voltaire, Rabelais and Racine are some of my favorites. I love writing articles as an intern for HonorSociety.org. I am working on writing my own auto-biography. I like to spend time with my family and my best friend, Mike. I am a yoga fanatic and do hatha, vinyasa and ashtanga yoga practices. I go to church where I spend time with the other young singles. Mostly I like to stay home and read or Skype with my best friend in Ecuador.
