A proud Chicano of the San Francisco Bay Area, I majored in Economics and minored in Inequality Studies at Cornell University. Upon graduation, I became an City Year AmeriCorps Member where he served as a tutor, mentor, and role model at an inner city and predominantly Spanish speaking high school in downtown Los Angeles. Thereafter, I was served Peace Corps Uganda as a teacher, the National Director of Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) Day, and a Technical Trainer for incoming volunteers. I am now pursuing a dual MBA/MS in Environmental Justice degree at the University of Michigan where I served on the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee for his dual-degree Student Advisory Board and the Academics Director for Net Impact last year. For the last couple of years, I have been an active member of the Ross Student Ambassador Program, the Nonprofit Board Fellowship, and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of the Ross Energy Club.
