I am an undergraduate student at Western Governors University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, with plans to continue on to a MSW and Master of African American Studies. As a stage 3 cervical cancer survivor, mother, and advocate, I have transformed my lived experiences into a powerful mission: advancing health equity, advocating to end mental health stigmas, improving maternal and reproductive health outcomes, and amplifying underrepresented voices in healthcare.
My academic journey reflects both resilience and ambition. I am committed to excelling in a rigorous competency-based program while balancing motherhood and leadership roles in advocacy. Currently, I have served as a Patient Advocate & Social Media Coordinator with Cervivor a non profit, contribute to the ACHIEVE Study Community Advisory Board, and lead initiatives such as Project RIBBONS: Centering Voices of Color in Gynecologic Cancer Advocacy, which provides advocacy training and storytelling support for survivors of color.
Beyond academics, I have built an online platform of over 11,000 followers, where I share health education, survivor support, and advocacy training. My long-term goal is to become a research professor specializing in Black maternal health and cervical cancer disparities, combining research, teaching, and community engagement to drive systemic change.
Through my academic studies, professional service, and personal mission, I am dedicated to reclaiming health and healing for communities that have been historically overlooked.
