About
My name is Yovani. I'm originally from the state of Washington, but am currently a resident of New Mexico. At the moment I'm a premed freshman at UNM-Taos. The thought of being able to make a significant difference in a life or death moment is euphoric to me. Knowing that ahead of me lies a long and tough road to navigate isn't at all intimidating to me; It's rather encouraging to do my best and take it one step at a time.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I'm currently enrolled in an A.S in EMS at the moment, I plan on pursuing a career in EMS, not only for the patient interaction needed to apply to med school but also because I strongly believe that pre-hospital care is vital to many of the patients that end up at any ER. There on after I'd like to achieve a bachelor's degree in para-medicine, get myself through med school and become a trauma surgeon or ER physician.
- Graduate school interests
UNM School of Medicine is by far the school I want to attend considering UNM-H has the only trauma 1 center in the state!
- Outside the classroom
Becoming and staying active to maintain a healthy state of mind.
