Aug 20,2016

Getting ready for a new semester can be stressful to a new or returning student. It’s common for students to not know what classes they should be taking, but there’s a simple solution, speak with a counselor. Counselors are a great resource; they help set you on track towards your career. When I started college, I was clueless of what classes I needed. I’m not one to ask for help but I knew I had, so  I made an appointment long before a new semester started and got all the information I needed plus so much more. Of course, with any class, textbooks are required, and we all know that textbooks are expensive, and only get more expensive as you continue every semester. Don’t worry though, I can help. First of all, don’t procrastinate on buying your books, either online or in the bookstore. If you wait too long to buy your textbooks online, there’s a chance they will be out of stock or not be delivered on time, which will stress you out before school even starts. Now we can’t start a new semester stressed because you will only stressed more throughout the semester. The best thing to do is, give yourself at least a month to look for your school books online through various websites for cheap prices to save money, read the reviews to be certain and then order. Easy steps such as these, really helped me be prepared for a new semester because I knew I was ready, ready to expand my education and take on any challenges college threw my way. No matter what, be confident in starting a new semester, be open minded, make memories and most importantly, be yourself.
