Cars, today, are a huge part of our lives. Fully grown adults or families are expected to have at least a vehicle. Cars are used for transportation on land or by road. Due to the advancement of technology today, cars have become more effective, reliable, and essential to individuals. Roads are built and connected to one another as paths for cars to follow from a location to a destination. Driving of cars should be taken seriously by drivers due to risk of accidents and ticket from the cops. There are different types of drivers one should be watchful for on the road. These drivers are the rookies or novices, the racers, and the annoyed; these types can be identified by their speed, road behavior, and their attitude toward pedestrians.

The first type, the rookies or novices, is usually a teenager (rarely an adult) who just got his or her driver’s license and drives with both of their hands firm on the steering wheel. He or she is scared of the road due to the warnings from their driving classes, the tickets and accidents, and the annoying or obstructing of other drivers on the road. The lessons of driving are still fresh in the memory of the novice, so he or she is willing to give the right-of-way to the pedestrian at all times, and also stop completely before the lines at the stop signs and traffic lights when red. Since the novice is scared of tickets, he or she slows down when a cop car is noticed around them. The novice also spends too much time in changing lanes and entering roads. Most passengers are scared to be in a car driven by a novice, because the novice hasn’t being on the road long enough to be trusted in driving a car.

The second type is known as the racers; they can be identified by their high speed and recklessness on the road. The racer is usually a teenager or young adult who was once a novice, but now has gotten used to the road, the fear of accidents and tickets are lessened, and also optimistic. The racers love muscle or sports cars, because those cars are fast. The racers always want to overtake every car in front of them. The racers are usually the ones who always instigate other drivers into races with them, usually at a red light by firing their engines with a stern look on their face towards the other driver. The racers loves the road more than any other type of driver on the road, because the road is their playground and they are full of life when driving.

The third type is called the annoyed drivers; it’s obvious that these type of drivers are angry. The annoyed drivers are usually seen in the morning, because he or she is driving against time with the fear of being late.  They can’t stand traffic jams. The annoyed drive is usually frustrated which leads to anger. These type of drivers tend to yell or use insulting word and swear words on other drivers with no remorse when the car ahead of them is slow or when the traffic light is red for a while. The annoyed drivers have short tempers, less patience, and tend to commit road rage offenses. Annoyed drivers hate the road more than any other type of drivers, because they want to get out of the road and get to their destination quickly.

While one is on the road, one should watch closely or carefully for the novices, the racers, and the annoyed drivers. The novices are nervous, the racers are overconfident and the annoyed drivers are very offensive. One should avoid contact with these drivers, because these drivers can victimize other drivers on the road. This is why driving should be taken seriously. The road is a shared community of drivers and pedestrians, but it is still very dangerous. So, drivers be careful.
