Caitlin Schumacher: My Study Abroad Scholarship!

Dec 10,2015

This summer I will be participating in Georgia Tech's Greece and Italy Art/Architecture program, where I will spend 7 weeks traveling around Europe. We will spend the first three weeks in Greece, seeing Athens and all the islands, and visiting historical monuments and keystones of art. We will spend the last four weeks in Italy, traveling from Rome to Florence to Venice, and everywhere in between, going to museums and famous landmarks. All classes are taught on site in museums or in the field at landmarks. I am so excited to have this experience this summer, and I hope to learn about design in a way that the classrooms can't teach me. From this opportunity, I will be able to learn from the past and apply ancient designs to my own concepts in my studies.
