To Write Today, or Not to Write Today, That Is a Great Question

Mar 21,2017

To write x-amount of words a day, or not to write x-amount of busy-work words, in forcing writing, every day? That is an age-old dilemma which every writer faces at some point whether professional or, merely aspiring to be. But consider this. If one paragraph that you have written a day, if it changes the world a little by even one iota, for the common good. Does that not count? Now, imagine if every single writer, or human, for that matter. If they likewise took the time and effort, and they wrote that one little paragraph, a day. To express what their own human condition's, condition, it was truly in. Every single day of their lives. That could help make a huge difference in this world. Should that not count, as a writer's ultimate goal, in life? Professional, or otherwise? Spreading inspiration: like courage. Even when doled out in such tiny blurbs and well-meaning drabs. It too can have an impact far more profound, and unforeseen, than its actual monetary value, may at first seem to. Such tiny, collective literary investments. Like butterfly wings working together and dispensing unforeseen fates clear across whole galaxies. They can reverberate as well when added up over the long run. They can write their own success stories and whole new chapters. If not create strange new worlds which we never before could even imagine. For all humanity, combined. They can, and often do, resonate far longer in time, than we may perceive. Than mere fame or personal fortune, as a solitary vehicle, can likewise, do? That is a path to success, often unforeseen, too. Some food for intellectual, and humanitarian thought.
