Intended Job Path

As a young hispanic adult looking to embark into the field of academia, my current path takes me on to the path of Nonprofit Advocacy. Having a real passion to serve the community, it only makes sense, along with my growing set of skills, to aid a sector that aspires to aid those that are underrepresented. The Nonprofit, Third, Commons, or Tax-Exempt sector, however you choose to label it, these organizations are set in an environment which may not be the most conducive for their missions and organizations. Seeking to be an academic researcher as well as a professor at the Graduate level, the goal is to seek a better understanding of the current circumstances and atmosphere. Seeking to understand is the first step, along many, in order to contribute to the dialogue which is happening in our communities, cities, and our nation.
