Hi All!!!
I was going through my email when I saw the message telling my I was being I had the opportunity to be a member of the HonorSociety.org. Like most people I thought it was a joke, simply because it popped up in my spam box. Which I never check. I soon came to realize that this was no joke and that my hard work was paying off. I came across the email when I was getting ready for bed so you can imagine that I could not sleep. I was up all night looking through the website and reading all the information I could.
After the initial shock finally wore off, I contacted my mother and shared my good news. I almost came to tears again when she said "I am so proud of you." It means the world to me to hear that come from her. She has been my support system since birth but even more so since I decided to go back to school and get my degree.
Its been a long journey for me and for me to achieve such an honor makes the journey worth it all. My story is a true testament that will plus motivation and determination is all it takes to make your dreams come true. When the opportunity knocks its best to answer then and not wait. Believe in yourself with all your heart.
