Compassion

I compare humans to apples; we can rot and decay over time. Fungus causes the quickest degradation, and unethical behavior can cause good people to behave immorally. Exposing an apple to heat can cause it to oxidize, likewise, if you put an individual in an extraneous situation, they're likely to change from ethical to unethical person. Bruises and punctures offer the quickest route for mold and fungus to take hold. When people receive bruises and punctures, they become deflated and unstable. Different pathogens have different effects on rotting apple. Different life experiences impact people in unpredictable ways. So, the action of understanding, being aware of or being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another of either the past or present without having the feelings, thoughts, and experience communicated in an objectively explicit manner amounts to empathy; this is the requisite acutely desired in us in order to maximize our humanity.
