Hey all! My name is Rana Barakat. I go to North Carolina State University and major in Business as well as pre-dental. I'm involved in many clubs at NCSU such as Pre-dental club, Student Alumni Association, and Muslim Student Assosciation. I enjoy spending my free time volunteering and helping others. I volunteer for many organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Horse & Buddy, as well as a nursing home and "Project Downtown" which helps feed the homeless. I also love playing basketball. Playing for tournaments is one of the most valuable things I enjoy in life. I've been playing with the same teammates for eight full years! During my free time I also enjoy praciticing my religion and learning more about it. This scholarship would help pay for a Syrian dental relief trip in Turkey over the summer. Thank you honorsociety!
