What to Invest In for 2021?

Jan 14,2021

With 20 years experience in the foundation of technology. I can share a few things that are consistent. The consistent under investment of the supporting components due to cost. Let's be honest, when you don't have much money the cost is the first thing reviewed in detailed. If we can afford it, then we will give it more attention. If we can't, we move on to find the things we can afford. I have seen it in professional and personal lives. However, now during these times the decision may make the difference.

We have the opportunity now to work remotely as a way of life. When business operations build network workstations they are striving for maximum productivity. Desktop or laptop, two screens, a mouse, and keyboard. They build them as one size fits all and trick us into believing that we are lucky to have anything at all. I use to have a fear of taking an unused better quality chair because I didn't believe my title fit the opportunity to sit in it. Yeah... that changed quickly the longer I sat in front of those screens producing for operations.

By my early thirties, it became a ritual when first starting for a company to seek out the best chairs in the building and procure one. Waiting for the fellow employee with tenure to share that in their opinion it was not allowed for new employees. If something was spoken, then I would invest in my own keyboard and mouse to complete my personal comfort upgrade. You see, I didn't start in the white collar category. I severed five long years after high school using nothing but muscles daily. Wishing for the days I could take a seat to perform my duties in front of a computer. I received my wish and it evolved into a new wish. To be able to work from home just like my mother would do in her home office setup by her company. I knew the technology was available as of late 90's or even maybe sooner but the opportunities were only available to top tier management.

Then one day it was decided, if they won't grant me the opportunity to have one built, then I would build my own. I thought about the old people I supported over the years and their health needs. Realizing that comfort was important for long-term health success. I started with the standardized desktop, two screens, a mouse, and keyboard. Then evolved into a laptop, a universal docking station, a solid wireless router, a fully adjustable desk mount monitor stand for two, an ergonomic keyboard and mouse, an automatic height adjustable desk, and a comfy chair to support proper posture. Now my spouse once against the idea of having it all in her home, spends more time at our workstation than me. I have evolved from our desk to connecting to the flat screen TV's for temporary use as I bounce around the home with my trusty laptop, HDMI cable, wireless keyboard, and wireless mouse. However, I always return to the desk were it all started for nostalgic reasons.

So what is the message I am trying to relay here. Invest by the principle with the expectations that it will last for ten years. Get ahead of the issues when first brought to light because the people that doing all the thinking removed the barrier with innovation years before your arrival. We just didn't make the right investments.

Unless you work in an Apple environment like at Indeed, it is not suggested to go with the brand to ensure optimal compatibility with work and upgrade security opportunities to Microsoft products. The conflict between the two brands can be a support nightmare for simple exchanges in information.

Need additional help? Then just send an email, so we can discuss your needs. All products are delivered through Amazon which come with return and warranty opportunities. By used for a lower prices, as majority are just purchasing for unboxing demonstrations on YouTube and returning the balances back to their credit cards. You can even finance through Amazon as well with approval. Why am I doing this if I don't make any money? It was the reason why I entered into the IT industry in the first place. To aid other's in understanding the world of computers for success.
