Abhijeet Tiwari

My name is Abhijeet Tiwari, I am from India. I am currently studying at University of Southern Mississippi. I am pursuing my major in Sports Coaching Education. I have been a professional tennis player before, due to which there was a break in my education for 10 years. I was incapable of supporting myself for professional tennis as well as education at the same time. Back in India, my father had a sports life history and I followed his foot steps. Previously I have been a part of Commonwealth tennis team (probables). Later I realized, I enjoyed coaching more than competing. So I decided to learn to become a coach, for which I took training under a professional coach Paul Dale in Thailand for two years. After which I worked as a head coach of a professional tennis academy in India (New Delhi) known as Team Tennis. After working for 2 years I felt I needed advance knowledge base to be a professional coach, thus I decided to pursue my education in Sports Coaching Major which can enhance my coaching career as a whole. Sports Coaching major includes sports coaching techniques, physical education, sports law, biomechanics, sports psychology and sports nutrition. Education in these fields are very essential for my career development. By learning Sports coaching as a major I will be able to lead society with an organized and effective approach.
